Design of the Chrysler 3.7L V6 PowerTech Engine. The 3.7-liter PowerTech/Magnum engine is a six-cylinder version of the 4.7-liter V8. Like the PowerTech V8, the 3.7L V6 engine has a cast-iron cylinder block with a 90-degree angle between the cylinder banks. This angle was kept in order to combine two engines and save money on production.
The valve seats on the early 3.7l/4.7l are considered "low press fit". One overheat and they can come out. This condition seems to be a lot more rare in the later versions of these motors. Its a Mercedes trans, there is a Mercedes designation as well, 722.3 or 722.6, NOT sure on that number. Thankfully it was their "somebody" that wasn't paying attention or simply didn't know any better so "They" have to fix it. Glad they shut it down quickly.
